About SEES | |
Science Educational Enhancement Services (SEES) is a diversity program serving under-represented minority students in the College of Science. It was established in fall 1987 to increase the retention and the number of under-represented minority students graduating from Cal Poly Pomona with degrees in the sciences and mathematics. The program strives for the retention and graduation of its members by establishing a supportive community among students with these ethnic backgrounds and having technical career goals. SEES services include special faculty advisors in each department of the college, a faculty-alumni-student mentoring program, a science orientation course for freshmen, a study center and computer lab where students can work together, Academic Excellence Workshops, career development workshops and socials throughout the year.
